Haryana’s Rising Music Producer Kalyugi Beats Bringing Folk Music into the Modern Era

In an age where independent music is rapidly evolving, Haryana-born music producer and composer Kalyugi Beats is carving a unique identity by blending traditional folk culture with contemporary sound. Known for his work across Rajasthani folk, Haryanvi tracks, devotional music, hip hop, and romantic melodies, the Jaipur-based artist is steadily emerging as one of the promising names in India’s independent music landscape.

Born as Anil Kumar in Bakhtawar Pura, Siwani, Haryana, Kalyugi Beats has built his musical journey through persistence, experimentation, and passion. Despite coming from a non-musical background and growing up in a small village with limited exposure to the industry, he remained deeply connected to music from an early age. His school performances during morning assemblies gradually shaped his confidence and interest in performing arts.

The turning point came when he moved to Chandigarh for higher education. While pursuing his B.Tech and later M.Tech studies, he simultaneously explored professional music learning and production techniques. What started as a passion project slowly transformed into a full-fledged career in music production and composition.

Today, Kalyugi Beats is recognized for modernizing regional folk music while preserving its original cultural soul. His music style combines authentic folk elements with commercial production, making traditional sounds more relatable to younger audiences.

Over the years, he has collaborated with several reputed music labels including T-Series, Tips Industries, Gem Tunes, Diva Tales, and Doss Music. Alongside label collaborations, he also manages his independent platform, Kalyugi Beats Production, offering audio and video production services.

The producer has contributed to more than 300 songs across multiple genres. Some of his notable releases include “Russian Tool,” “Folk Fusion Mashup,” “Bagdi,” “Gud Ki Dali,” “Nain Katarni,” “Chakka Jaam,” “Kangasiyo,” “Badila Bhartar,” “Maa,” and “Naina Ra Lobhi.”

Industry observers note that the increasing popularity of regional music across digital platforms has opened new opportunities for independent creators like Kalyugi Beats, who are successfully connecting traditional Indian folk sounds with modern listeners.

The artist is currently working on upcoming projects titled “Bewafa” and “Satane Lage Ho,” both of which are expected to release soon.

Speaking about his journey and message to aspiring artists, Kalyugi Beats says:

“Manifest karo aur struggle karo. Ek din aap khud wo din dekhoge jo aap daily manifest kar rahe ho.”

With a growing digital audience and continuous experimentation in sound, Kalyugi Beats represents a new generation of independent Indian music producers redefining regional music for a wider audience.
